Trip 51 - Thursday Afternoon - October 23rd

Went down to get Island Sunset prepped and pumped out and onto The Slings. The Lake was angry what with a heavy wind and lotsa waves and whitecaps. And it was not warm, but cold.

However, one person was present who was really enjoying all this. A fellow, in wetsuit, windsurfing like crazy.

Rr Admiral Herman, Rtrd. was cold so he spent his time below, or in the car. Wrapped up in a bankey.

Rr Adm Herman slept and dozed all the way down.

How uncivilized - he has to be transported like a common parcel.

Cold and wrapped up while -I- do all the work.

Yet again, a clan and dry bilge.

All set for our journey to The Lift.

Parting images.

Getting Island Sunset from the water, and up and over.

Rr Adm Herman was there to make certain all went well. Under his leadership and command, and skills, it did.

Next time, I will not plop in a thru-hull and caulk it minutes before it is dunked in the drink.

Next year, remember not to hit the dock.

After a bizzee day, time to rest and reminisce.

Bottom paint is in two parts. Powdered copper and the actual paint. Its job is to repel or kill organisms that would foul the surface of the hull. I wanted to paint the four patches where the supports meet the hull.

Forlorn and cold.

Empty, until next year.

The patches. Ready for next year.

One more time. Next, The Head, the Plumbing, the Holding Tank, all come out and go back in with new lines and all cleaned up. Maybe, the Water Tank will be move forward of this tank and create more room for storage under the Galley.

Later ...
