Power - Sunday Afternoon- October 19th
After we attended the Cancer Sale to see what was left, we grabbed Marcia's new GPS and headed down to The Boate.
The late afternoon was beautiful indeed. After adding three quarts of oil, we powered up and went past the Marina Point to what we call the Condo Point and half way back. Dropped the power and watched the sunset. Back to the Barn, and back home. The last time we will be on the lake til sometime next year.

Tuesday or Wednesday night, I will pull the Galley back out and drop the mast. Thursday, it comes back On The Hard. Friday, I will pull the engine, transmission and drive train. Remove the holding tank, and -all- associated tubing.
Then, another day, I will raise the (lowered) mast higher on top of the deck, and with either steel or plastic tubing, make an arched frame over the deck across the mast and cover it all with a tarp I have, or, have it shrink wrapped. (The tarp is long paid for by now. That will probably be used.)
Thirty years ago, hardly anyone covered their boats. Sail or power. Now, not only do they use a temporary cover like the Industrial Shrink Wrap, but, more than a few have custom made canvas covers and frames.

Here is where we went. At an average speed of 4.9 and a top speed of 6.3 mph.

They came, and we fed them all. For the last time this year.

A nice image ...

Herman, warm and cozy.

I have to use the other lens. I really do.

Herman. Again.

A really nice sunset. Warm it was too.

Marcia's newfound GPS Navigation toy. We were leaving the parking lot and there is the road around the point and the inner harbor as well. An amazing device. It even speaks phrases of upcoming turns/merges etc. And every road and address in America is stored within it's PeeWeeBrain.

I needed some repair on my Cradle and the fellow did a great job. Instead of the four corner supports, that snuggle up against the hull being fixed, he added jackscrews so it is totally adjustable.

From thirty years ago, my name is still visible. I will paint the cradle after it is On The Hard, but I may not paint this area. Time will tell.

A home along the main road has a huge web in front of the house. The black blob in the middle on the bottom is a six foot bellied spider. A really neat scene.
Sadly, I forgot the Signature Image again. Stay Tuned tho ...
Later ...
